Officially Welcome to The Other Division of Football Blog, Podcast and stuff and things.

Now taking official logo submissions for “The Other Division of Football.”

Well. . .I’m back? But I didn’t really go anywhere. Well, I mean, I moved. I live in Fargo, ND now. But in the grand sense of the world, life and the cosmos. . .I’m still here.

The only way that I can put it is that I’m like that one friend of yours that tried to sell you multilevel marketing stuff. The first time around, they fooled you. You liked them, so you said, “hey I’ll give it a shot.”

And then for the next 10 years they bothered you to buy more and more. They inundated your Facebook timeline with bullshit posts about how great things were and how they kept achieving new goals.

Then all of a sudden they stopped? Why? Maybe whatever they were schlepping went belly up or some CEO got arrested for fraud. Life caught up with them. They got a real job. They had to grind again. They just kinda disappeared.

And right about the time you were going to forget they tried to sell you some powdered weight loss recovery drink. . .BOOM. . .THEY’RE BACK!

But this time it’s some weight loss recovery drink lifestyle drink and patch that is SOOOOOO much better than what they had before!

Well. . .that’s this blog. It’s the new weight loss recovery drink patch wrap pill that is going to change your life. . .but it’s NAIA football instead. . .and it’s free-ish. Make sense?

There’s a couple things that will be different about this blog than the previous stuff I have done.

  1. I’m not going to regurgitate articles just to add to content to this site. If you want to read a story about the the Morningside/Northwestern game. . .there are at least four places you will be able to do that and one of them is not here.
  2. I’m not going to be very professional. Don’t get me wrong, I will treat people with respect but I don’t think previous readers of VSN and my other stuff really got to know me. I had to be buttoned up. I was trying to win the favor of the NAIA, the schools, coaches etc etc. In this day and age, I don’t have to do that. (AKA, I say fuck a lot.)
  3. I will absolutely play favorites. After 20 plus years of being around the NAIA there are people who have treated me really good. I will treat them better than the people who thought I was the scourge of the earth.
  4. I’m going to have fun with this. I already have one job. I don’t want this to be another job. When it feels like a job, I’ll quit doing it.

I’m sure I could list a bunch more stuff but that would probably bore the living hell out of you. I plan on getting the podcast going again, writing some articles and doing a little more research before the season starts. Ultimately, I just wanna have a little fun and cover some college football again.

If you want to get a hold of me, here’s how:
Email: theotherdivisionoffootball@gmail.com
Twitter: SLIIIIIIDE into those DMs @OtherDivisionFB

Want to call me? Find someone with my phone number, ask them for it and then you can call me. I’m not going to list it here. The last thing I need is some helicopter parent calling me to tell me how great their son is and how he is the next Walter Payton of the NAIA. It. . .won’t. . .happen.

Thanks everyone for checking in. More to come.
