[Football] Week 8: GPAC Football Players of the Week

Football – Mon, Oct. 18, 2021

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2021-22 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/ Football Players-of-the-Week

Offense -Frazzie Wynn, Running Back (Doane University)
Doane running back Frazzie Wynn is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Wynn, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, rushed for a career-high 225 yards and four rushing touchdowns. He is the first Tiger to eclipse 200 yards and score four touchdowns on the ground since 2016. His longest run of the game was a 64-yard touchdown run on the first play of the 4th quarter. He scored the first and last three touchdowns of the game. The Tigers will host Mount Marty University on October 23. Kick off will be at 1 pm.

Defense – Lane Napier, Linebacker (Concordia University)

Concordia linebacker Lane Napier is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Napier, a senior, from David City, Nebraska, reached the 20-tackle mark in a single game for the fifth time in his career while leading a Concordia defense that held Mount Marty to 232 total yards. Napier also added one tackle for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovering the 38-7 victory. Napier has pushed his career tackle total to 495.The Bulldogs host Midland University on October 23. Kick off will be at 1 pm.

Special Teams – Korrell, Koehlmoos (Concordia University)
Korrell Koehlmoos of Concordia is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Koehlmoos, a junior from Pilger, Nebraska, punted five times for an average of 43.4 yards and pinned Mount Marty inside its own 20 four times. Koehlmoos also returned a kickoff for 24 yards as part of 38-7 Concordia win over the Lancers. The Bulldogs host Midland University on October 23. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
