NAIA Football FirstDown PlayBook Top 25 Poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four Mid-South teams are mentioned in the NAIA Football FirstDown PlayBook Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Monday.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is the highest-rated team in the poll at No. 3. The Blue Raiders garnered 405 points in the poll and are 3-0 this season and 1-0 in the MSC. Lindsey Wilson hosts Campbellsville (Ky.) on Saturday.

Georgetown (Ky.) is the second conference school in the top 10. The Tigers are slotted eighth with 324 points. Georgetown is off to a 3-0 start and 1-0 in conference play. The Tigers travel to Cumberland (Tenn.) on Saturday.

Bethel (Tenn.) is the final MSC team in the top 25. The Wildcats are 13th in the poll with 177 points. Bethel is 3-0 and open MSC play on Saturday hosting Pikeville (Ky.).

Pikeville is mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll. The Bears have started 2-0 and 1-0 in the MSC and travels to Bethel on Saturday.

Morningside (Iowa) sits atop the poll with 444 points and all 19 first-place votes. Grand View (Iowa) is second with 427 points. Northwestern (Iowa) and Marian (Ind.) round out the top five with 390 and 381 points, respectively.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences. Each conference is given one rater for every four schools in the league.

The next poll is scheduled to come out on Monday, September 26.
