BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bethel’s (Tenn.) Joaquin Collazo III, Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Damon Byrnes-Mitchell and Lindsey Wilson’s Ian Sauter are the Mid-South Conference Football Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

MSC Football Defensive Player of the Week

Damon Byrnes-Mitchell – Cumberlands (Ky.) – So. – Free Safety – Clearwater, Fla.

Byrnes-Mitchell recorded 11 tackles in the Patriots’ 24-17 loss to Pikeville.He also recorded forced and recovered a fumble and blocked a field goal in the game.White led a Georgetown defense that forced five turnovers in the game.He earns weekly honors for the first this season and third in his career.

MSC Football Offensive Player of the Week

Joaquin Collazo III – Bethel (Tenn.) – Jr. – Quarterback – Melbourne, Fla.

Collazo threw for 337 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in Bethel’s 39-31 win over CampbellsvilleHe completed 21 of his 35 passes with a long of 38.Collazo also rushed 11 times for 50 yards with a long of 17.He earns weekly honors for the third time this season and in his career.

MSC Football Special Teams Player of the Week

Ian Sauter – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Gr. – Kicker/Punter – Knoxville, Tenn.

Sauter punted four times for 137 yards in Lindsey Wilson’s 37-7 win over Faulkner (Ala.)Three of his four punts were downed inside the 20-yard line.Sauter was 4-of-4 on extra points and hit a 41-yard field goal.He kicked off seven times for 429 yards with an average of 61.3 yards per kick and four touchbacks.Sauter earns weekly honors for third time this season and eighth in his career.
